Our hotel complex utilizes renewable energy sources, reduces waste through recycling programs, and implements eco-friendly practices in every aspect of our operations.

Waste Management

We strongly believe in the 3R’s rule; reduce, reuse, and recycle. Disposables are limited to the minimum, and we do our best to always choose reusable and long-term quality material. By monitoring the different types of generated waste and recording the quantities, we control consumption, gradually decreasing the general food and other types of waste. On another note, many plastic items are replaced with eco-friendly alternatives, like straws, stirrers, and ice-cream spoons, and soon all take away packaging and cutleries.

Sustainable Dining

Our culinary philosophy revolves around fresh, locally sourced ingredients. By partnering with local farmers and fishermen, we support the regional economy and reduce the carbon footprint associated with food transportation. 

Our Juweira Hotel restaurant, Al Manara, is a vegan dining destination that offers a variety of organic and sustainably sourced dishes, ensuring a delightful dining experience that aligns with our green values. Guests can enjoy a delicious vegan buffet breakfast, and for lunch and dinner, the space transforms into an intimate dining experience with exciting à la carte menus that showcase vibrant vegan cuisine.

Community Engagement

Hawana Salalah is deeply rooted in the local community. We actively engage in initiatives that promote education, cultural preservation, and economic development. Through partnerships with local artisans and businesses, we celebrate Salalah’s rich traditions while fostering sustainable growth.

We prioritize community engagement by participating in several activities and diversified sectors, collaborating with local stakeholders, and local and national organizations. 

Our hotels contribute to different means:

• In-kind contributions (offering venues, meeting rooms, outdoor space, and linen amongst 

many others). 

• Colleagues fundraising through sports tournaments or donations. 
• Colleagues volunteering in various environmental, educational, sports events, blood 

donation, and others.
